What to do?

Breathe and know you are worth it and love. This may be a hard day or hard period, but you will get through. You are wanted and needed and have a purpose. Know that you are here for a reason. You have a bigger purpose than what you may be going through at the moment.

We have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow. Check-in with others as well and support one another. Knowing you are not alone is important.

Get outside even if it is only 10 minutes. Go for a walk, read a book, meditate, or just sit. Getting outside can reset your mood.

Reading a book when you are feeling alone helps you get inside the heads of different characters or narrators. It can help you understand yourself and how others may be feeling.

Accept your emotions rather than closing off and pushing them away. Don't cover up and allow yourself to feel what you are feeling. If you are mad, be mad. If you feel sad, be sad. Validating your feelings is important.

Being creative is a good way to switch off reality and slow down. Turn social media off and put your phone down. Get paper and pen and write.

We are responsible for controlling our feelings and actions. When you feel hopeless reach out to somebody or try some of the activities listed above. Know there is hope and know you are worthy of being ok.
